Dakine came by and did the first good demo in over two and a half years down at the Kihei park. Besides the fact that there was still a bunch of locals skating, the demo was alright. I'm down for the rippers being out there, but there were so much people besides the pros out on the course, they were getting in the way of the "main show". Whenever the next demo is, I hope whoever hosts it can keep the unsponsored people, especially the little kids off the course.
Mikey's one of the rippers that's allowed to skate.
More Dakine coverage here.
We've been frequenting Lahaina quite a bit through out the last month but this last session was by far the most successful filming days I have had in a while.
First trip out to Lahaina, Darren's hair looked like this, It got hot and clammy, and Darren demonstrated his freestyling abilities.
On the second trip, Darren's changed his hair up a little, Sean street skated for the first time in months, and Nathan started wearing pants again.
Started the third trip with a pit stop at 180 drop off a tv and pick up Nathan. Alden was handling the business.
Nathan got hammers before we even got to Lahaina.
The crowd in front of the ten stair.
When they grew impatient, they started to turn on each other.

Darren's first switch frontside flip attempt. As you can tell, I wasn't ready for it.
His next attempt. Notice the hair... or lack there of.
Nathan with a frontside flip... or shifty flip?
Ended the day on top of the sketchiest jungle gym ever.
